CALL FOR PAPERS: Australasian Tourism, Leisure, Sport and Hospitality Postgraduate Research Symposium

WHAT

A multi-disciplinary symposium for postgraduate research students in tourism, leisure, sport and hospitality. The aim of the symposium is to allow students to share their research in a supportive environment while gaining valuable feedback and networking with other students with similar research interests.

WHO

Postgraduate research students in the fields of tourism, leisure, sport and hospitality and associated areas of study. We particularly welcome researchers located in other disciplines (e.g. geography, sociology, anthropology, economics, marketing, management) who have an interest in tourism/leisure/sport/hospitality. The symposium is supported by the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Southern Cross University and the Department of Tourism, University of Otago and is being held at the University of Technology, Sydney.

WHEN

2nd & 3rd December 2013 – symposium will finish at lunchtime on the 3rd to enable people to travel to the ANZALS conference starting in Melbourne on the 4th (for more on the ANZALS conference see http://education.monash.edu.au/research/conferences/anzals/)

CALL FOR PAPERS

Abstracts for presentations are due Friday 2nd August. Abstracts should be a maximum of 500 words (excluding references). Papers can be conceptual or empirical and may be based on work-in-progress or completed research. In addition to papers on tourism/leisure/sport/hospitality, papers based on research methods, the PhD/masters process and thesis writing are also encouraged.
