TTRA is a leading international professional research association combining both practitioners and academics with an interest in tourism research. Founded in the USA, today TTRA has chapters in North America, Canada, Europe and now the Asia-Pacific. The Association provides networking and sharing opportunities for travel and tourism research professionals, and has a strong collaborative network.
We are pleased to invite research focused practitioners and the academic community to submit their ideas and concepts for sessions and papers at the very first meeting of TTRA Asia-Pacific on the theme described below.
Making it Count: Travel and Tourism Research in the Asia-Pacific
Following our successful inaugural conference in Kuala Lumpur last year, our second conference continues our focus on the challenges facing Asia-Pacific as it moves toward becoming the epicentre of growth for global tourism.
Presentations, professional development workshops and presenter-organized panels:
Submissions need to include a brief statement on how the presentation(s) or workshop topic relates to the conference theme and addresses a research need, followed by a short description (approx. 300-500 words) of the presentation(s) or professional development opportunity. A brief (5-line) biography of the presenters should also be included. Please indicate which presentation format (concurrent session, workshop, or organized panel) is preferred, and the length of time requested. Concurrent session presentations will be between 15 and 45 minutes in length, while workshops and organized panels will be between 60 and 90 minutes in length.
